VALL is happy to once again offer grants to defray the expense of attending the AALL Annual Meeting in Portland, Oregon, July 19-22.
This year, three grants are available:
1. The VALL AALL Meeting Grant, of up to $1000, which is open to all VALL members. (Download application here.)
2. The Barbara Cumming AALL Professional Development Grant in the amount of $500, limited to a VALL member who works in a law firm. This grant is named for a long-time VALL member who was a firm librarian and who felt her career was helped immeasurably by her attendance at AALL. (Download application here.)
3. An AALL Chapter Registration Grant. This grant from AALL rotates among chapters, and 2025 is VALL's turn to award it. The grant covers the full cost of the conference registration, but does not cover the Association Luncheon. Members of VALL who have also been AALL members for less than three years are eligible. The deadline to apply for all grants is Friday, April 18th.
